A Reflection
Today began with our airplane landing and the two of us getting a few hours of sleep.
It continued with a wonderful meeting at the seminary I graduated from in 1986.
Even though it is in a new location, the Spiritual Presence from all those years ago is still very strong in this new location.
Contemplating post-graduate studies is at once exhilarating and scary.
I believe that exhilarating definitely won the day!
We will also have the opportunity to visit my Dad.
An opportunity to share some special moments with him.
So much is rattling through my head and heart.
As I continue my contemplation of Thomas Merton’s writings I came across this gem.
You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.
Thomas Merton – Conjectures of a Guilty Bystander
I do believe that this word from Merton is exactly what I needed to hear.
The Spirit is definitely working today as it does every day.
All that I can say is Thank You, Spirit
Thank You ❣️❣️
