The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of farewells and blessings

A day of travel and welcome

A day of reflection and prayer

Lord, for those who are lost and alone

Bring your comfort and presence

Lord, for those who are afraid

Bring your peace

For a nation that is divided

Bring a spirit of unity, compassion, and common concern

For leaders who care more about power than the people they are called to serve

Bring a sense of selfless service

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
