Evening Prayer – 28 May 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Here’s to good friends, family really

A beautiful Lord’s day of worship, rest, and family

As we prepare for the morrow

As we remember the reason behind this weekend

Pause and say a prayer for the families

For those who’s loved ones never came home

For those who paid the ultimate price 

We also pray, Lord, for the day

The day when swords are beaten into plowshares

The day when spears are beaten into pruning hooks

The day when nations study war no more

For the world you created, Lord, we lift our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
