Evening Prayer – 9 March 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Surrounded by the beauty of your creation

We give you thanks for your gifts

Yet as we soak in the beauty we remember

We remember those who suffer oppression

We remember those who live in fear

We remember them and we pray

We pray that we might be instruments 

Instruments of your healing

Instruments of your grace

Instruments of your peace 

May we never take for granted what we have

May we always look for ways to be your hands, Lord

May we always look for ways to be your heart, Lord

May we always look to see you in the eyes of all

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
