The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

December is upon us

A time of preparation and expectation 

A time of remembrance and tears

The days grow shorter

The nights grow longer

May your light shine in the bleak midwinter

May your light warm hearts that are chilled

May your light bring comfort 

May your light bring hope

In the glow of your light, Lord, I lift this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra 

Grant Us Peace on Earth
