Evening Prayer – 24 May 2022

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Another long but productive day

The house in Carrollton was cleaned, empty, and we hit the road

We are in Orange Beach now with the cars completely unpacked

Even though we are surrounded by boxes

It is good to be home on the South Alabama coast

As I said to our neighbor this evening

In all my years it moving, I have never moved to a place filled with family and friends

From Navarre to Pensacola to Baldwin and Mobile counties there is so much love

For this gift we are both truly thankful

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
