Evening Prayer – 15 May 2022

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been a long weekend

A long drive to Florence on Friday

Laying Denise’s dad’s ashes to rest

Sharing stories with family and close friends

A time to support each other as we mourn

A long drive back home today

There is still packing to complete

We pray for healing for Denise’s knee and my back

We pray for a good night’s sleep

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
