“Right now the world is looking at racism and religious difference and so am I. How can we think about, talk about, and make change about the suffering that causes hatred? How do we address racism, classism, and ‘other-making’ in our world?”—Zen Roshi Pat O’Hara
The CACentre (Father Rohr) has been talking this week about money and our relationship to it and how, socially, we perceive it and why money is not inherently powerful (only the Holy Spirit is) but it can be used (or not used) to injure and demean and highlights the greatest social disparity (rich, homeless) thus creating great suffering.
This is not the power of God.
A personal ‘revolution’ of the heart is needed, to know when ‘enough is enough’, and not to use it to gloat or hold up to praise but to teach our children and grandchildren how to be endowed with this choice that ‘i don’t need that’ can become our legacy.
If I have abundance, can I look around and see who is in need?
This is the love of God.
I pray, Lord, open the eyes of my heart.
Sorry, I should have introduced my self! Hi I’m Heather!! I live in Canada, near Toronto, in Ontario. I am a retired social worker and Nana of two boys and a girl. They bring joy. They are bi-racial and their journey has taught me so.much.
In these times, so much tension; my heart yearns for unity and I trust in the Holy Spirit of God to guide me towards that end.
Peace.🙏❤
Good to meet you, Heather 🇨🇦
Thank you, Pastor! I’m really enjoying your writing. Peace be with you!!
