Evening Prayer – 3 September 2021

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been a long day of traveling

It has also been a time for reflection

There is so much going on in our lives, Lord

It honestly is overwhelming at times

Yet even in the midst of the Valley of the Shadows

You are with us

The wonder and encouragement of friends and their music

The blessing of journeying with my sweetheart

You sustain us with your love

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
