Evening Prayer – 28 March 2021

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

And so Holy Week begins with a parade

Today was a day for worship and reflection

Today was a time to simply Be Still

This evening as I prepare for sleep I wonder

How will I meet Christ this week

Will I see him in the face of a stranger

Will I offer him water to quench his thirst

Will I see him in the face of one with whom I disagree

Will I see Christ within me

Lord, lead me through the wilderness

Lord, reveal to me your presence

Lord, ultimately show me your way

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
