Evening Prayer – 10 December 2020

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It had been a good day, Lord

Even though my body rebelled (thanks to arthritis)

There was time for work, reading, study, writing, and reflection

And of course there was a wonderful evening with my sweetheart

Thank you as well for the time spent with Merton scholars and new friends

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
