Evening Prayer – 11 October 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A long day of travel

Much time spent stalled on the highway

Praying that the accident victims are okay

Then some incredible time at the Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemane

Time spent pondering the wisdom of Brother Louis (Thomas) Merton

A wonderful evening with family you choose

Or rather, family whom God chooses for you

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
