Evening Prayer – 20 September 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

An incredibly early rise yesterday

Plus a very long and exhausting day

Led to no written prayer last night

Today with sleep and time spent with my Dad

A written prayer arises

Lord, in the ups and downs of health scares

In the ups and downs of aging

In the midst of it all, you are our constant presence

Lord, watch over our Dad’s in Alabama and Minnesota

Walk with them through the struggles

Walk with them through the Valley of the Shadows

Walk with us as we support, comfort, and encourage them

In all these things we ask your presence and lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
