Evening Prayer – 5 September 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Communion shared with a dear friend and his family today

Lord, you were present in the breaking of the bread

You were present in the love and the laughter

We began our Season of Peace tonight

Gathered in our beautiful outdoor chapel

Surrounded by the beauty of your Creation

With so much going wrong in this world

With ugliness and division in our Nation’s Capital

We needed the reminder of your Table

The call to Transformation

The call to be Peacemakers

The call to be agents of your Grace

Lord, equip us to be instruments of your peace

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
