Evening Prayer – 31 August 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

I know the two Bull Elk look like Dr Doolittle’s Push-Me, Pull-You

But they greeted us at tonight’s anniversary dinner

A wonderful day of hiking and photography

So many wonderful gifts, Lord

Even when our bodies were aching and weary

You brought us through the hike

You reminded us of the beauty of your creation

For the gift of friendship and your creation

For the gift of music from dear friends

For all of these gifts and reminders we thank you

Hear us as we lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
