Evening Prayer – 6 July 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

As you look upon the world you created

As you look upon your children created in your image

As you look upon it all, Lord

Do you weep?

Does anger and frustration boil over?

In our world view, Lord, that is often our answer

Yet I imagine you looking through the lens of love

You do not see the borders we see

You do not see the divisions we create

You do not see the differences we see

You see your beloved creation, Lord

From the tiniest molecule to the largest mass

Help us to see through your eyes

Help us to be the hands and feet of Christ

Help us to love as he loves

Selflessly…

For each of us and for all of your creation we pray

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
