Evening Prayer – 22 March 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of stories and family and fellowship

Time with dear friends who are family

And now, we prepare for rest and sleep

Lord, be with our dear family we pray

As we walk through the Valley of the Shadows

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those

Who work, or watch, or weep this night,

Give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary,

Bless the dying,

Soothe the suffering,

Pity the afflicted,

Shield the joyous;

All for your love’s sake.

In your mercy, hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
