Evening Prayer – 23 October 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A time of reflection was good 

It beat the heck out of being frustrated while waiting

The long process of home repairs is almost complete

Yet I also remember those who have no home to repair

I remember those who lost everything in fires and hurricanes

For the homeless and destitute I lift a prayer 

All of a sudden minor irritations are nothing

 I am thankful for a place to lay my head at night

Exhausted and ready for sleep I lift this prayer

A prayer on behalf of those who suffer and mourn 

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
