Evening Prayer – 26 July 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A day of driving and reflecting

Time spent on a Civil War battlefield 

The Battle of Shiloh where so many died 

Contemplating a dark period in our history

Praying for a nation that is fractured and fear-filled

Families torn asunder by hatred and greed

Lord, help us to turn the tide of hatred

Lord, help us to be your instruments

In your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
