Evening Prayer – 29 April 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As the Lord’s Day approaches 

We lift our prayer to you

Thankful for dear friends who are family

Thankful for the beauty of this place

Thankful for your call to serve

We come before you now

As the disciples recognized you

In the breaking of the bread

As they heard you share your story in Scripture 

As you opened their hearts

May our hearts be enlivened

May we know the spark and flame of your love

Lord, speak to us in the breaking of the bread

Lord, speak to us in your Word

As we lift this prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
