Evening Prayer – 27 February 2017

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As the Lenten season approaches we remember

Time in the wilderness approaches

Many will focus on Fat Tuesday tomorrow

Levity and food and fun

Yet it is also a time of preparation

Each year, Lord, we remember

Each year we go into the wilderness

Lord, as we prepare, we ask your Spirit’s guidance

May our focus be on our journey with Jesus

May we walk with him through the wilderness

May we draw closer to Him and one another

May we be drawn closer to Your peace

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
