The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Even though the sun sets

Darkness here is pierced by the moon and the stars

A reminder, Lord, that your light always shines

In a time of darkness and uncertainty 

Where fear-mongers scream from the “stage” called politics

We need your light, Lord

We cherish your light, Lord

We embrace your light, Lord

Cast out the darkness, Lord

Let the light of your love shine

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem
