The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker 

A day of much needed rest

Ended with great food and fellowship

This journey we call life

Brings a wonderful variety of people into your circle

Such variety and mutual respect

Gives me hope for this world

Despite the fact that this is…

A world where intolerance is revered

A world where bigotry is accepted

A world where violence and fear seem to reign

This is NOT the world you created

This is NOT the world you called good

Despite such depressing realities

I still see hope

I still hear your call to love

I still hear your call to peace

With that in mind, Lord, hear my prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
