Evening Prayer – 7 June 2016

As the water roars by, the Vesper Lights flicker 

The torrent reminds me of societal turbulence 

The rage and anger and hatred and bigotry

The lunacy and lies and deceit

As the torrent floods social media

As the torrent floods “news” networks

As this nation and world writhe in pain

I lift this heartfelt prayer to you, O Lord

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
