A Study in Contrasts
As I looked at the picture in the window of models trying to look like they were on the street, I noted the contrast. Nobody was in the blankets (I wouldn’t have violated their privacy if they had been there), but the reality of homelessness contrasted against the marketing image struck the very core of my soul!
I have also been thinking a lot about Winfield, a homeless man we met here in New Orleans in 2014. He was battling cancer but his spirit was so alive! I wrote about him in this blog Reflections
I love New Orleans and she always gives me pause to think and ponder life, faith, and thin places…
