Easter Communion Table – Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies
Easter Sunday and the culmination of our Lenten Communion Table Journey. For Easter, the Rooster turns towards the cross (Peter was, after all, restored). All the candles are lit once more and new life is symbolized by the flowers come out of the Baptismal water with the cleansed stones which represented our sins. The thirty coins of Judas are back in their pouch and at the foot of the cross. Perhaps redeemed? Out of the jar of precious perfume that Mary used to anoint Jesus flows a river of living water.
He is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!
I’d forgotten how beautiful that sanctuary is!
It really is stunning! And out the windows? Oh wow!
