On this night, as the Vesper Lights flicker

My heart is troubled, O Lord, as are my dreams

Violence, Hatred, Bigotry, Narcissism, Greed…

What values are these, O Lord

They are counter to your values…

Love of ALL neighbors…

Love of you with our entire being…

Lord, may your peace descend into my heart

Lord, may your courage infuse me

Lord, may your peace be at the center of my actions and my being

Lord, in your mercy, hear my prayer for all

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace… 

Your Peace that passes all understanding
A wee prayer from the heart of your Padre as he prays through this dark night of our national soul…
