Evening Prayer – 22 March 2021

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

After a long days drive to be home

What a wonderful wedding weekend with friends

As I look to the week ahead, Lord

We pray for yet more victims of senseless hatred and gun violence

Lord, this land needs healing only you can give

Literally teach us to beat swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks

Give this nation the courage to put down weapons and learn the way of nonviolence

Grant us all moments to Be Still

For the good of all of your children I pray

Dona Nobis Pacem
