Evening Prayer – 18 November 2020

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow
It has been a long, yet productive day
Ministry planning and preparation
Meetings and worship recording
Yet there is also a tinge of sadness tonight
Our friend Bill Pelke died yesterday
He fought against the death penalty for so many years
His story is inspiring Bill’s Obituary
So many good people have died this year
A quarter of a million people have died this year from COVID-19
Famous or anonymous, they each have names and stories
Hold them close in your loving heart, O God
May your Spirit guide us through this Valley of the Shadows
May we make decisions not for ourselves alone
May we make decisions because we love all of our neighbors
All of our neighbors who are made in Your image
Now as my eyelids grow heavy
I lift this humble prayer to you
Dona Nobis Pacem
Grant Us Peace
A wee prayer from the heart of your Padre…
I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend. 💜😢
Thank you ❤️
