Evening Prayer – 29 September 2020

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been a long day, Lord

A long, yet productive day

As I look to the national stage I cringe, Lord

You hear our prayers which are groans too deep for words

You know your Creation, Lord

Speak words of healing, truth, peace, and hope

Lead us through the Valley of the Shadows

Lead us into your new day of light, love, grace, and hope

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
