Evening Prayer – 5 September 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Once again walking through the Valley of the Shadows

Laying a parishioner to rest

Time spent in reflection and prayer

Time spent driving through triple digit heat

Time spent in contemplation as we flew

Tonight time with my father-in-law

Now that we are safely resting at the hotel

Now that my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
