Evening Prayer – 1 September 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Where has the summer gone

Even thought the temps are still hot

Our herd is already gathering

Labor Day Weekend is busy and nuts

But time spent in worship and with my sweetheart make it worth it

There are needs in the world

Praying for those in the path of the hurricane

Praying for yet more victims of senseless gun violence

Praying for those who seek shelter and food this night

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
