Evening Prayer – 30 August 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of reflection and rest

A time to give thanks for my Dad

Ninety trips around the sun

Thank you for friends who took him out for a birthday dinner

A time also to enjoy a walk with my sweetie

An evening spent with our adopted daughter

There is so much to be thankful for

Lord, help me to focus on that when times are rough

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
