Evening Prayer – 16 August 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

After a morning of reflection

Time spent simply being still

To spend an afternoon and early evening in the wonder of your Creation

What a blessing indeed

Even though my feet are sore

Even though my body is aching

Despite two thunderstorms

Despite slushy snow falling on us in August 😳

It has been a day filled with blessings

Now as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
