Evening Prayer – 10 August 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

What a sacred honor it is

To walk with dear friends through the Valley of the Shadows

What a sacred privilege it is

To listen, to love, to hold

We all need safe, sacred, and holy space

Space where we can simply be

Loved, cherished, honored, heard

Lord, words somehow fail

Words to express such gratitude

Gratitude for the blessings of such friendship

You know the prayers of my heart

For these precious ones

In your mercy, hear our prayers

Lift up, Comfort, Guide, and Sustain them

For these dear ones, I lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us/Them Peace
