Evening Prayer – 25 July 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

It has been a long day of Introspection

It has been a day walking through the Valley of the Shadows

A time of remembrance

A time of comforting

A time to try and simply Be Still

When we walk difficult journeys Lord

When we feel like we are all alone

You gently come alongside of us

You touch our heart and soul

You remind us that you are with us

Blessed are those who mourn

For they shall be comforted

For the gift of your presence

For the gift of your love

I thank you, Lord

Now, as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
