Evening Prayer – 17 May 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

An emotionally exhausting day, Lord

Praying with a dear friend for her nephew

Cancer once again rears its ugly head

Walking as well with a precious family through the Valley of the Shadows

Sharing wonderful stories

Holding and hugging one another

You said: Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted

Thank you as well for this evening’s balance

For time spent with family and friends

For laughter

For love

For hope

For your presence

Now, as my eyelids grow heavy

I lift this humble prayer to you

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
