May Day – A Reflection

It’s May Day

It’s Beltane

It’s the month of new beginnings

Halfway between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice

It’s also known as Our Lady’s month

New life

New hope

Emerging out of the darkness of winter

Seeds long dormant awaken

Even late snow cannot squash new life

As I look out upon the world

As I look out upon creation

As I pray for a world in darkness and chaos

Speak your words of wisdom, Lord

Share the heart of your Mother

Bring us out of the darkness and into your light

Your light which is love

Your light which is rebirth

Help us to simply Be Still
