Evening Prayer – 17 March 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

An intense and emotional morning of worship

Praying with and for our Sisters and Brothers in New Zealand

Seeking to break down barriers of hatred and fear

Seeking to walk with ALL of God’s children

Then to hear sad news from the congregation

We began the journey through the Valley of the Shadows once again

Seeking to be still and walk with our dear friends

It has been a long day

And so, as my eyelids grow heavy

I offer this prayer of encircling

For all of those who mourn

Circle us Lord,

Keep love within, keep hatred out.

Keep joy within, keep fear out.

Keep peace within, keep worry out.

Keep light within, keep darkness out.
