Evening Prayer – 21 January 2019

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

The end of an exhausting day

Exhausting yet also productive

My heart is still with those walking through the Valley of the Shadows

My heart is with those who suffer at the hands of ignorance and hate

My voice lifts up to challenge privilege

My voice cries out for walls to be torn down

My heart weeps for this nation and world

Yet in the midst of it all, I do see hope

In that hope will I trust

May the light of Your Justice, Mercy, Love, and Peace shine, Lord

In your mercy, hear this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
