Joy and Peace – Howard Thurman

Howard Thurman was very much a part of the retreat (Presbyterian CREDO) I was on last week. In worship, meditation, and conversation, it was good to remember my spiritual mentor.

This quote speaks to my heart as we walk this season of Advent and walk towards the season of Christmas. In the midst of the stresses of the season, my prayer is that we will always have our hearts open, dear reader, to the gifts of the Spirit which often come to us in unexpected ways.
