Evening Prayer – 24 November 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of much needed rest

A day of reflection and contemplation

As the snow fell

As the Deer and Elk wandered by

It would be easy to slip into complacency

Yet Lord, you offer us reminders

Of those who walk through the Valley of the Shadows

Of those who are facing medical concerns

Of those for whom life is a daily struggle to survive

Of those who are treated as invisible by society

For those who are treated as invisible by the church

As I remember all of your children

As I remember your call to be your light and love

As I remember… in your mercy, hear this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
