Evening Prayer – 21 November 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of much needed rest and healing

Exhaustion has turned into upper respiratory crud

Yet my beloved is working so very hard

Preparing our Thanksgiving feast

A feast to be shared with family and friends

Right now my mind is in the air

Flying back to Minnesota like I was a year ago

I am thinking of the losses we have experienced in the past year

So many parishioners and friends

My mother a year ago tonight

Denise’s Mom this past March

We have so much to be thankful for

We have so many precious memories

As I watch the firelight flicker

I lift to you, O Lord, this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
