Morning Prayer – 6 November 2018

The sun had set and we were enjoying good fun and friendship

The morning sun has risen on this new day

This is the day the Lord has made

Let us rejoice and be glad in it

As I ponder the day ahead

I pray for our nation and its leaders

Where there is rancor and division

Lord, plant seeds of healing

Where there is only lying, Your truth

Where there is injustice, Your justice

Where there is a me first at all costs attitude, Your humble nature

Lord, may we indeed be your instruments of peace

May we do Justice

May we love Your Kindness and Mercy

May we walk Humbly with you and with all of our neighbors

May we work to beat swords into plowshares

May we work together to beat our spears into pruning hooks

May we join together in studying and seeking peace instead of war

Lord, in your mercy, hear this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
