The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Reminders are all around us, Lord

Of the good and the bad in humanity

Of the wonder and beauty of your creation

Even in the midst of darkness, I see your light

Even in the midst of hatred, I see your love

May your light and love shine, Lord

In the lives of the ones who break down barriers

In the love of the ones who see your Divine Spark in others

Let your light shine Lord

Even in the words of this simple Evening Prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem et in Terra

Grant Us Peace on Earth
