How Great Thou Art

I love this season of the year, when the day’s are crisp, air is fresh and all of the world around us is blazing into color. The wonder of God’s creation touches our hearts, from the Rocky Mountains, to a Lake Superior North Shore forest and to  the oceans that fix the boundaries of our nation. Maybe that is the reason so many people choose the hymn “How Great Thou Art” when asked for a favorite. Stuart K. Hine writes, “When through the woods and Forest glades I wander, I hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur – And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze – Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee; how great thou art, how great thou art.”
