Evening Prayer – 27 September 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A day of planning and organizing

A time for pastoral calls

A time of busyness

Also time with dear friends who are family

However, as I contemplate this day

I think of so much pain and injustice

As I consider the lives being re-traumatized

As I consider the actions of the so-called leadership in this country

My heart breaks, Lord

When we don’t know what to pray

Lord, hear the anguish of so many hearts

Hear our heartfelt prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
