Evening Prayer – 12 September 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Another long and emotionally exhausting day

Yet somehow the Spirit renews

Walking through the Valley of the Shadows is difficult

Yet we ended up around your Table, Lord

Walking in the evening we enjoyed your Creation

The Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus were brilliant

A reminder that the light shines in the darkness

And the darkness cannot overcome it

Now, as we prepare for sleep

Lord, in your mercy, hear this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
