Evening Prayer – 22 August 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

A rare blessing for us this Summer

The smoke appeared to have cleared a bit in our area

Yet my heart is still with all who suffer the ravages of the Western fires

Fall is approaching and the leaves are beginning to turn

Sweatshirts and wool socks come out

But it is still August!

In the midst of your beautiful creation I lift my humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
