Evening Prayer – 12 August 2018

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

Another long day of traveling

A day also filled with so many blessings

We gathered to reflect, remember, and honor

A legacy of ministry in Western Township

Over 145 years of faithful service

My first call out of seminary

What a joy to see the infants I baptized with their own children

What a joy to reconnect with dear friends

And now I pray for the members

As one church door had closed

Lord, may you guide their steps as they find new church homes

For these dear friends and for all of your children

I lift this humble and heartfelt prayer
